All Together Worship 2010

All Together Worship 2010

After hearing that “Worship in the Square” would not be taking place this year, a new event has been established, All Together Worship 2010. Spearheaded by the Burtts Corner Church of Christ, this free event is designed for all denominations and all walks of life. The event will take place on Saturday, August 21, 2010 in a neutral location at the Keswick Landing Mall allowing us to invite the general public to participate without financial obligation.

The name of the event was derived from the worship chorus, “Here I Am To Worship”. As we meditated on this familiar song we were drawn to the part of the chorus that says “You’re altogether lovely, altogether worthy, altogether wonderful to me”. Though the writer of the chorus was obviously pouring their heart out to God, we were drawn to reflect on God’s plan for us. He wants all of us together with Him for eternity. There is no better way to celebrate our “…lovely, …worthy, …wonderful” Heavenly Father, then by coming together to worship Him!

The goal of this event is to unite area churches and reach out in Christian love to Fredericton and the surrounding region. It is our prayer that through this event, lives will be changed and families strengthened through the saving power of Jesus Christ.

We are extremely excited to announce that 2010 Dove Award Winning Artists, the Sidewalk Prophets (www.sidewalkprophets.com), have been chosen to lead this free worship concert! Their hit song “These Are The Words I Would Say” was featured in the major motion picture “Fireproof”. Two time Super Bowl Champion Lee Rouson will also be on hand to share his inspiring testimony with us. Other artists will be announced soon so stay tuned to this website. You can also sign-up to be part of our Facebook group where you will receive all the event news and updates.

Lee Rouson To Share His Testimony During All Together Worship

Lee Rouson was born in Elizabeth City, North Carolina to Cecil Lee and Shirley Rouson. In North Carolina he served as student body president and was able to letter in three sports at Walter Hines Page High School in Greensboro, North Carolina. While in high school, Rouson was recruited by the University of Colorado. As a team captain for the Buffalo’s Rouson was a four-year letterman and become the school’s fourth all-time leading rusher. After an outstanding college career, Rouson was drafted into the National Football League by the New York Giants in the eighth round. Rouson played for the Giants for six years and was a part of two Super Bowl Championships, XXI and XXV. In 1986 he was named the New York Giants special teams player of the year. Lee was traded to the Cleveland Browns were he earned the starting running back position. After suffering a severe ankle injury, Rouson decided to retire after a total of seven years in the NFL.

With that chapter in his life complete, Rouson began full-time ministry. He joined Sportsworld Ministries and began traveling both nationally and internationally speaking to young people about their relationship with God and each other. In 1999, he was ordained as an evangelist with Praise Chapel Christian Fellowship in Lancaster PA. This broadened his ministry demands to church and business leaders. Rouson was named the New Jersey regional Director for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. His most recent ministry effort was co-founding New Horizon Church Ministries in Harlem New York under the leadership of Rev. Michel Faulkner. In addition, Rouson serves as Vice President of The Institute for Leadership, a leadership and training non-profit organization in New York City reaching business, educational, sports and community leaders. He notes his most important ministry is to his family. Rouson and his wife Lisa have been married for more than 20 years and have four children.

Weekend to remember conference

Marriage is defined by memories. They can be memories of joy and
fulfillment, or of pain and heartbreak. It all depends on how well you apply
the principles that make marriage thrive.
For more than 30 years, FamilyLife’s Weekend to Remember conference has
been helping couples create the kind of memories that build a healthy
marriage. Remember your marriage. Remember this weekend.
Weekend to Remember is a three-day conference centred around God’s
design for marriage and family. The environment is fun, non-threatening,
and often hilarious. It’s a wonderful time for couples to refresh good
marriages or heal troubled ones.
Conferences are offered in locations across Canada every year. Whether
you’re engaged, newlywed, married for 40 years or remarried, enrich your
marriage and begin a godly legacy for your family by attending a conference
near you. It’ll be an experience you’ll never forget.
