Indulge your sense of hearing and your wallet too. Spend the evening–not a fortune–not even a cent!–at a FREE concert with Stephanie Israelson. She and her band will be performing from their newest release at 7:00 pm on Sunday, Jan. 24.
We’re looking forward to seeing your smile this Sunday at the Burtts Corner Church of Christ. There will also be a special presentation during our morning service at 10:30 by Betsy and Lori McGuigan on their recent mission trip to the Dominican Republic. See you on Sunday!
Beat The Blues | Winter Carnival Update
The Community Outreach Team is planning a free event for Sunday afternoon, Jan 24th from 2:00 – 4:00 PM. There will be various activities for all ages, both indoors and out (weather permitting).
Please use the Winter Carnival insert as an invitation for you family, friends & neighbors. A similar invitation has bee passed to everyone at the Public Skate this afternoon at the KV Arena.
As with our other Community Outreach Events, the Winter Carnival is a huge task requiring volunteers to take on various tasks, but it is also a very enjoyable way to spend some time in service and a great way to get to know people better. Please offer to help however you are able.
Sign-up sheets are at the Welcome Center, so don’t delay! Volunteers are needed for helping with outdoor activities (we hope!), leading crafts, bringing jig-saw puzzles and board games, displaying snowmen figures, providing home baked rolls and treats, judging the maple recipe contest, supervising the youth room, serving food, taking photographs, setting up and cleaning up, etc…
Beat The Blues – Winter Carnival
Come in from the cold for an afternoon of free fun at the “Beat the Blues” Winter Carnival on Sunday, January 24 from 2:00-4:00 pm. Activities for all ages: arts and crafts, movies and music, games and goodies, a cooking contest, home-made turkey soup and rolls. Outdoor activities will be held weather permitting. Everything is free, so come have some fun and beat the winter blues!
