80th BIRTHDAY

Today begins the summer worship schedule for the next few months. May each of us be careful to keep regular worship with other Christians a vital part of our summer plans and may the Lord refresh us and encourage our hearts for Him through these summer months.

Today, we begin a preaching series entitled Downpour, a series focusing on personal revival. It is inspired by a book of the same name written by Dr. James MacDonald. May each of us seek the Lord’s blessing in our lives as we seek him with all of our hearts!!

The Maritime Christian Fellowship is rapidly approaching. This year’s MCF will be held at Canoe Cove Campground, PEI and is hosted by the Nova Scotia congregations Pray for the leadership of this event as plans are finalized and pray for Dr. Jerry Taylor, the guest speaker.

Great morning last Sunday with worship leader Geoff Moore! We praise God for your hospitality towards Geoff and are excited that 15 needy children will be sponsored through Compassion International!

Sunday, June 27 at Noon (Rain or Shine)

Mark your calendars for the church picnic this summer! Please bring some yummies to share in a potluck picnic, as well as lawn chairs, games, and cutlery; hamburgers and hot dogs provided. Faithful Attendance awards for Sunday School will be presented and our graduates honored. In case of inclement weather, the picnic will be held in the fellowship room, so save the date!

We’re spearheading a big concert event at the Keswick Landing Mall on Saturday, August 21, 2010! The concert will be called All Together Worship 2010 and Dove Award winning artists Sidewalk Prophets (www.sidewalkprophets.com) have been chosen to lead this free worship event. Pig Out
You are invited to a men’s pig roast at the Burtts Corner Church of Christ on June 19th. This is a free event. We will be eating at 7pm, but you are welcome to come earlier for an extended time of fellowship– our chefs will be preparing the meal in advance. Please feel free to bring any lawn games with you (washers, lawn darts, etc.), and bring your favourite lounging chair. This will be our last event until fall.
